RSV-FPP Parallel Fan Powered VAV Terminal

Overview

The FPP Parallel Fan Powered VAV Terminal Unit is designed for efficient volume flow control in variable air volume (VAV) systems. With the fan located outside the primary airstream and operating intermittently, the unit allows primary airflow to meet cooling demand—similar to single duct terminals—while the recirculating air section provides supplemental heating airflow. This design ensures reliable performance in applications requiring both cooling and heating flexibility.

Key Features

• Durable casing: High‑quality galvanized steel, not less than 20 gauge (1.0 mm)

• Accurate airflow sensing: Cross airflow sensor with multi‑point measurement, amplification factor ≥ 2.5

• Robust damper construction: Gasket sandwiched between two 18‑gauge (1.2 mm) G.I. sheet metal layers for tight sealing

• Thermal and acoustic insulation: 1" (25 mm) fiberglass internal insulation with BGT cover, compliant with NFPA‑90A and UL‑181 standards

• Low leakage: Casing and damper leakage not to exceed 1% at 4 in.w.g. (1000 Pa)
